Gavin's Interpretation
Yesterday, Gavin was sitting next to me while I was holding Aislynn on my lap. We were all having fun singing songs when Gavin got carried away and kept getting right up in Aislynn's face. Finally, she was fed up and put out her hand and pushed him away.
"Looks like she's saying that she wants you to back away and give her some space, Gav." I said.
"No mom. She's saying, 'I love you Gavin and I want to touch your face.'"
I am a wife, mother, preschool director and friend to many! My husband is Dan Hawk and he is my best friend (although he is still a man and therefore does not always "get it") We have a 4.5 year old boy named Caedon, a 3 year old boy named Gavin and a new baby girl named Aislynn (born 4/2/08). We also have a crazy 1 year old lab named Cooper (I thought I was compromising by getting a puppy instead of having a 3rd child and now I have both!!) and a very old, grumpy, diabetic cat named Heathcliff. As you can guess, things get a little crazy around our household and my husband thought this might be a good outlet for me. Hey, if this leads to even one less migraine, then he did good!!
